At Home in the Community
Atypical Support CIC
The mission of Atypical Support CIC is to provide support to people with hidden disabilities in the North East with finding and staying in employment. We also aim to raise awareness and promote acceptance of disabilities in the workplace by promoting neurodiverse people into employment and the hiring and employment of neurodiverse people into companies. Using funding like this helps us raise the profile of the benefits of hiring people with hidden disabilities into the workforce.
We also aim to provide knowledge and access to places that an individual may struggle to access themselves either due to lack of education or funds for example. We also provide a social aspect for those who are local in the form of a social group which is still in its early stages and is ran once a month. We have plans to expand the reach of this group as it grows.
